About my practice My art practice has been centred around the themes of place, ecology, materiality and human experience. Through creative practice, utilising photography, printmaking, 3D scanning, and drawing, I engage with the materiality of place and gradually unravel its entangled complexities and hidden meanings - layers of local history, geological data, and current environmental issues. The experiential knowledge of place gained through an active engagement with the sites is then translated into artworks that aim to emulate the close connectivity of the body and place fleshing out the place’s tactility and highlighting its importance. Through my work, I question how a sense of place, atmosphere, memories and sensations can be embedded within a printed surface Contact [email protected] |
